Live TV streaming service Fubo is raising subscription prices for its US English-based plans. Citing the costs of programming, the company is implementing the changes effective immediately for new customers, while existing subscribers will see the new cost in their next billing cycle on or before Feb. 10. The price hike comes weeks after Fubo and Disney announced plans to merge their live TV businesses — which includes Hulu’s live TV offering — and Fubo’s intent to launch a new sports streaming package.
Prior to the increase, Fubo ranged from $80 to $90 a month, depending on the tier, with an additional charge for access to regional sports networks. Notably, the price of its Essential and Pro plans is now $85 per month (formerly $80 monthly), making its base plan higher than rivals YouTube TV and Hulu Plus Live TV, which both cost $83.
According to Fubo, the RSN fee has also been bumped up by $1 for all customers, but it varies based on where you live. For example, it you were paying $12 a month, your new rate will be $13 per month. The charge is tacked on to your subscription price if your package includes sports.
Here’s a chart outlining Fubo’s monthly costs before and after the new price increase. Though the streamer no longer features Deluxe or Premier packages for new customers, the rate for those tiers has also gone up.
Fubo Monthly Pricing
Old price | Jan. 2025 new rate | |
Essential | $80 | $85 |
Pro | $80 | $85 |
Elite | $90 | $95 |
Fubo’s Essential plan offers more than 200 channels and cloud DVR, but excludes RSNs, while its Pro plan comes with over 200 channels, unlimited DVR and RSN access. Last year, the service dropped Warner Bros. Discovery networks such as TBS, TNT, HGTV and Food Network. The streamer offers a free trial and discount for new customers looking to sign up now.
