Fill The Banjo-Kazooie-Sized Hole In Your Heart With This Upcoming Funko Pop

Estimated read time 2 min read

It’s been over 15 years since the last Banjo-Kazooie game–unless you have managed to convince yourself that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a Banjo-Kazooie game. But hey, at least Microsoft and Rare haven’t entirely ignored the iconic bear and bird duo, as proven by a somewhat steady drip of official merch. Banjo-Kazooie fans can preorder a new Funko Pop for $13 ahead of its August 14 release.

Like other Funko Pops, you’re getting a cute recreation of one of gaming’s best tag team, but with a Funko flair. This means big heads, bright colors, and soulless eyes that look like they’ve been burned away by unseen horrors during their long exile from the gaming spotlight. Just kidding, of course. As you can see by Banjo’s thumbs up pose, he’s perfectly content.

If you’d prefer a figure with a bit more display potential, GameStop’s exclusive Banjo and Kazooie figure was released earlier this year and came with a unique video game cover background. This one is slightly more expensive and costs $25.

This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen Banjo and Kazooie figures, as other manufacturers have also released several cute collectibles over the years. YouTooz, which releases more screen-accurate replicas of famous video game characters, has Tooty and Mumbo Jumbo figures available–and available as a discounted bundle–while Numskullz has a Banjo and Kazooie figure that looks like they leapt straight out of a TV screen.

Other neat Banjo collectibles include several pin sets, a Cable Guy controller cradle, and a Banjo and Kazooie Amiibo. Buying that $16 Amiibo at GameStop will require you to pay shipping for it–unless you pick it up in a store or your total order is $79 or more–so we’ve also listed Amazon’s $24 offer (from a third-party seller) with free Prime shipping.
