We get it. There is nothing like a warm Eggo waffle straight from the toaster. They’re warm, fluffy, and have just the right amount of crispiness for the perfect bite. Plus, these waffles soak up butter and maple syrup to perfection and take almost no time to prepare.
It’s hard to fathom any improvement to these breakfast staples, but luckily, Eggo brainstormed for us and created 6 new items we never saw coming.
While these new products are also found in the freezer section, they’re nothing like what we’re used to seeing from the brand that’s been supplying us with our beloved frozen waffles all these years.
Eggo’s New Ice Cream Line-Up
Grab a spoon and step away from the toaster, because Eggo’s new products are all in ice cream form.
Food manufacturer and owner of Eggo, Kellanova, has linked up with Golden West Food Group, a manufacturer and distributor of other well-known frozen food brands (hello, Reese’s, and Tillamook) to create this first-ever ice cream launch of its kind.
The new ice cream line-up includes three ice cream pint flavors inspired by Eggo’s most popular flavors: Buttery Maple, Chocolatey Chip, and Blueberry. But that’s not all, you can also enjoy each flavor alongside it’s Eggo counterpart because each flavor is also available as ice cream sandwiches. Instead of scooping the maple, chocolate chip, and blueberry ice creams out of a carton, they can be found between two brown butter waffle cookies.
Fans are already gearing up for the new arrival of these frozen treats along, with a similar release from Rice Krispies Treats, showing their enthusiasm on social media by saying that they “Can’t wait” and need “to try them all!”
Eggo’s pints and ice cream sandwiches will be available in the freezer aisle at various grocers and retailers including Kroger and Walmart. If you’re anything like us, you’ll be loading up on these frozen treats on your next grocery run. While we never knew we needed waffle-flavored ice cream, now that it’s a thing, we can’t help but want to try each and every flavor.
