Dunkin’ Changed This Menu Item, and Customers Are Not Happy

The start of 2025 ushered in quite a few changes at the Dunkin’ drive-thru. Gone are the seasonal Holiday Cookie Latte and Decorated Shortbread Cookies, now replaced with the Sabrina Carpenter collab Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso and a late-winter menu of Lava Cake lattes.

But those aren’t the only buzzy additions to the Dunkin’ menu. At the start of the new year, Dunkin’ replaced its $6 meal deal with a $5 meal deal—and, despite the cheaper option, customers are begging to “please, please, please” not let this be real.

Dunkin’ Quietly Changed Its Meal Deal—Fans Aren’t Happy

On Dec. 31, Dunkin’ released its new meal deal, which includes two Wake-Up Wraps—made with egg, cheese, and your choice of bacon, sausage, turkey sausage, or no meat—and either a medium hot or iced coffee for just $5. The value bundle, which is available all day long, replaced the existing $6 meal deal, which featured a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich, Hash Browns, and a medium hot or iced coffee, that Dunkin’ introduced in August.

During the fall launch, fans were incredibly excited to see Dunkin’ joining the value menu action—along with McDonald’s, KFC, and Arby’s—and the $6 bundle quickly became a fan favorite. Now, even though Dunkin’ has lowered the price of its meal deal, customers are upset with what’s included—and the actual value of the deal.

“I fell to my knees at Dunkin’ today. They did away with the $6 meal deal,” TikToker James Cashen said in a video. “That was one of the greatest things: hash browns, breakfast sandwich, medium coffee. Now they’re trying to sell a $5 meal deal. [It’s] two itty bitty quesadillas with an egg. Where are the hash browns? [They] are the best part.”

Customers have been criticizing Dunkin’s Wake-Up Wraps for their size for a few years now, claiming they’re not worth the nearly $4 price tag.

“Where is the MEAL in two Wake-Up Wraps,” a TikToker commented on Cashen’s video.

Emma Pittman, who is currently playing Cherry Valance in Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical “The Outsiders,” has been vocal about her love for Dunkin’s $6 Meal Deal, calling it an “unbeatable breakfast deal.” After posting about her Dunkin’ order, the brand even sent her a thank-you package for sharing her meal deal love. So, naturally, Pittman posted a TikTok when she realized the meal deal had changed.

“It’ll take some getting used to,” she captioned a video of her sadly eating a Wake-Up wrap.

“I’m truly heartbroken” and “BRING IT BACK,” she added in the comments.

Dunkin’ hasn’t announced how long the new $5 meal deal will be available, but maybe after hearing fans think the brand “took magic and just stomped on it,” they’ll bring back the fan-loved $6 meal deal soon—or at least add hash browns to the next deal bundle.
