There are quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2 where you’re forced to choose between two outcomes. But what if we told you that you can actually grab both sets of rewards? Here’s our guide on the Hunt for the Jadeite Orb Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Jadeite Orb – How to get both rewards
The Hunt for the Jadeite Orb quest takes place in Checkpoint Rest Town. Upon arriving there, a merchant named Offulve will tell you that he desperately needs the Jadeite Orb. Then, upon crossing the street, a merchant named Everard says that he’s willing to pay a handsome reward for the same item.
Buying the Jadeite Orb and potential rewards
You can purchase the Jadeite Orb from Ibrahim’s Scrap Shop at the back alley. It costs 7,500 gold. Initially, you have two choices on who should receive the item:
- Offulve: 3,000 gold and 1x Elite Camping Kit.
- Everard: 12,000 gold and 1x Ring of Skullduggery (increased damage when attacking from behind).
At first glance, you’d probably go with Everard, But there’s a method to get both Dragon’s Dogma 2 Jadeite Orb rewards.
How to get both rewards from Offulve and Everard
Here’s what you need to do if you want both rewards from the Hunt for the Jadeite Orb quest:
- Don’t hand over the authentic item to anyone just yet.
- Instead, tell the Scrap Shop merchant, Ibrahim, to create a forgery. This costs 2,000 gold.
- Wait a couple of days in-game and check if the forgery has been created.
- Give Everard the forgery. He’ll want Ibrahim to inspect its authenticity.
- Talk to Ibrahim and bribe him. You’ll give him 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, and, finally, 6,000 gold.
- When Everard returns, Ibrahim will claim that the forgery is the real deal.
- Give the authentic item to Offulve.
You should receive the following rewards: 1x Elite Camping Kit and 1x Ring of Skullduggery. You did lose around 6,500 gold in total, but, hey, it is what it is.
This is how you can complete the Hunt for the Jadeite Orb in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Do take note that we’re unable to confirm if there are long-term ramifications for this decision. Even much later in the campaign, Everard had no new dialogue for us, and we never found Offulve again.
