It just hit theaters on July 3, but Despicable Me 4 is already available for preorder. We still don’t have a specific date for its arrival, but if you’re eager to add the popular film to your collection, you’ll find 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats up for preorder at Amazon, Walmart, and Target. The film is performing well at theaters–opening to $27 million during its Wednesday launch–and it’s another solid entry in the zany Steve Carell-led series.
$25+
Three versions of Despicable Me 4 are available for preorder. The standard DVD format is the cheapest at $25, while the Blu-ray version is $30 and the 4K UHD format is $35. No information about special features has been revealed yet, but we’re confident there’ll be some sort of featurette or additional content available on discs. Note that purchasing the 4K UHD version also gets you Blu-ray and digital copies, while purchasing the Blu-ray edition gets you a digital copy.
Pricing varies slightly from retailer to retailer, and we may see minor price drops in the weeks leading up to launch. Most sellers–including Amazon–offer preorder guarantees, allowing you to get the lowest price for the film even if its price drops after placing your preorder.
Overall reviews for Despicable Me 4 are mixed, though most fans (especially those of the Minions), should find much to love about the quirky film. It also features a star-studded cast, including Steve Carell as Gru, Kristen Wiig as Lucy, Will Ferrell as Maxime, and Stephen Colbert as Perry Prescott.
Expect to learn more about a release date for the Despicable Me 4 Blu-ray in the coming weeks, as well as further details about its special features.
