Chicken Caesar Salad Pizza. Perfect for nights when you’re in the mood for a really good pizza but can’t decide whether you’d rather just have salad. Fresh pizza dough topped with garlic oil, two kinds of cheese, grilled chicken, lemon, and fresh basil. As soon as the pizza comes out of the oven, top it with my Caesar salad made with homemade Caesar dressing. Every last bite of this pizza is delicious and will leave you wanting more. Caesar salad piled high onto a cheesy pizza is the best of both worlds. Totally delicious!

Anytime I’m traveling I always bulk my content for the website. That way, I’ll have recipes to share with you all while I’m away. I love doing this because it forces me to have the opportunity to have my recipes a little more planned out than usual.

It also means that I know in advance what recipes are coming up vs when I’m home just winging it. What I love most is being so excited about a recipe that when I finally get to share it, I just can’t wait for you all to try it at home for yourselves!

That’s definitely the case with this pizza. I made it last week before my trip to France, and I can’t wait for you all to make it!

There are few things I love more than pizza and salad nights at home. Pizza and salad is one of my favorite dinner combinations, so of course, why not top our pizza with our favorite salad?

Fresh-baked pizza with a simple lemon basil seasoning, three cheeses, slices of grilled chicken, and my very favorite, very well-dressed parmesan Caesar salad on top —it’s the ideal cheese pizza!

These are the details

Step 1: the pizza dough

As with every pizza I make, I do make my own dough, but feel free to pick up your favorite store-bought dough. I love the options from Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods.

If you want to make your own dough, I use the pizza dough recipe in my HBH Every Day cookbook. Just make sure your dough is at room temperature. This will certainly make shaping your pizzas much easier. If the dough is too cold, it will not stretch easily.

Step 2: the dressing

I almost always make the same Caesar dressing; it’s my favorite. I mix olive oil and mayo. Then I add lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, lots of salt, lots of black pepper, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

It’s totally no fuss, fast to mix up, and I always have the ingredients on hand!

If you don’t love mayo, try using tahini. Just make sure to add extra water to the dressing to help thin it out.

Step 3: toss the salad

Before you start baking the pizza, toss the salad. I love to use baby romaine and give it a light chop.

I add fresh basil and crunchy seasoned croutons. You can’t have a Caesar salad without them!

Step 4: assemble the pizza

Roll the pizza dough out. Once it’s rolled out, get it onto a sheet of parchment paper.

Spread the dough with olive oil, chili flakes, garlic, and slices of grilled chicken. Next the cheeses, I use mozzarella and provolone. I use the Parmesan in the dressing plus extra on top!

Once the cheese is layered on, add a few thin slices of lemon, the remaining chicken, and a handful of fresh basil.

Step 5: bake and finish

Bake the pizza in a super hot oven until the cheese is melty and bubbling up.

Once the pizza is out of the oven, top it with the dressed Caesar salad and extra Parmesan. It’s going to look and smell incredible.

Slice and serve! This is really my ideal kind of pizza. The salad on top makes it perfect for summer. You still have a great slice of cheese pizza, but a nice fresh crunchy salad too!!

I know you’ll love it!
