As the new year has arrived, it’s out with the old and in with the new. The first thing to go? All those holiday peppermint flavors we were oh-so excited about in December. Sorry, mint. We’ll see you again for St. Patrick’s Day.
While many of us wait all year for Chick-fil-A’s Peppermint Chip Milkshake to arrive, all good things must come to an end—on Jan. 4, to be exact. But don’t worry, Chick-fil-A isn’t just removing the milkshake and peppermint coffees—instead, it’s replacing them with two returning fan favorites.
On Jan. 7, Chick-fil-A is bringing back its Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich and Key Lime seasonal beverages to menus for a limited time.
Chick-fil-A’s Returning Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich and Key Lime Beverages
Chick-fil-A understands that the new year often means a new you—which might include a high-protein diet. But, if you can’t stay away from those Chick-fil-A cows, that’s where the grilled chicken sandwiches come in.
The fast food restaurant offers a Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich year-round, but customers have always been fans of the limited-run Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich. The sandwich starts with a boneless chicken breast, which is marinated in peppers and grilled to juicy perfection, topped with Colby Jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato on a brioche bun. To cut the spice, it’s served with a special Cilantro Lime Sauce.
Chick-fil-A’s Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich was introduced in 2021 but hasn’t been seen since the fall of 2022. Despite its popularity, the sandwich is still only hitting menus as a limited-time offering this winter, so you’ll want to order yours soon in case you have to wait another three years to get your hands on it again.
To wash down the spicy sandwich—and get your mind off the dreary winter weather—Chick-fil-A is pairing it with its zesty Key lime drinks. After a five-year hiatus, the Key Lime Frosted Lemonade is back—and it brought a friend.
In addition to the frosted lemonade, which is Chick-fil-A’s signature lemonade, or diet lemonade, mixed with Icedream and Key lime flavor, the chicken chain is releasing a regular Key Lime Lemonade this year. The new beverage is made with Chick-fil-A’s lemonade or diet lemonade and natural Key lime flavors for a sweet, tart, zesty sip.
The sandwich and two drinks join menus nationwide for a limited time. And, don’t worry, the fan-loved Chicken Tortilla Soup will still be on menus alongside the returning favorites, so we guess not all good things have to come to an end at the same time.
