Cava Drops All-New Pita Chips and a Music Video Set to a Nostalgic 2000s Anthem

Cava is turning up the heat — and leaning into early-2000s nostalgia.

Starting April 22, the Mediterranean fast-casual brand is launching its first-ever flavor remix of a cult-favorite menu item: Hot Harissa Pita Chips. The spicy chips are available nationwide for a limited time, online, in-store, or through the Cava app.

To mark the drop, Cava also released something unexpected: a music video set to Kylie Minogue’s 2001 earworm “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” The video, choreographed and directed by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Erin Murray, features swirling dance sequences meant to capture the joy fans say they feel while eating at Cava.

“Our new Hot Harissa Pita Chips are a bold-flavored twist on our beloved snack,” said Ted Xenohristos, Cava’s co-founder and chief concept officer. “We can’t wait to bring even more joy — and flavor — to our guests.”

The new chips take Cava’s classic pita snack and amp it up with the chain’s signature harissa spice, creating what the brand calls a “punch-packing flavor” meant for pairing with dips, spreads, or bowls like the Harissa Avocado or Steak + Harissa.

Spicy food is everywhere right now — and not just for heat seekers. From chili crisp to hot honey, 2025 has seen a wave of flavor-forward launches that turn up the intensity without sacrificing nuance. Cava’s Hot Harissa Pita Chips fit squarely into this moment: bold, craveable, and built around a spice blend that’s rooted in tradition but designed to pop.

The launch also reflects where Cava is headed as a brand. Since going public in 2023, the Mediterranean chain has moved from regional favorite to national disruptor — ending fiscal 2024 with 323 locations and revenue up 29.5% year over year.

At a time when many chains are cutting back or chasing low-cost value plays, Cava is investing in flavor-forward innovation and emotion-driven marketing. Their strategy taps into something more enduring: food as identity, joy as a differentiator, and small moments that stick. These chips aren’t just a snack — they’re a reminder that Cava is building a brand around feeling, not just flavor.

Cava’s Hot Harissa Pita Chips will be available through the summer. For the full experience, you can watch the video via @Cava on TikTok and Instagram — and maybe plan a dip-and-dance combo while you’re at it.
