Castlevania Blu-Rays Get Limited-Time Price Cuts Ahead Of Halloween

Netflix’s Castlevania animated series is on sale for cheap at Amazon. A box set collecting Seasons 1 and 2 is available for only $15. Alternatively, you can buy the first two seasons separately, including a bundle with Season 1 and a T-Shirt for $15, too. Unfortunately, Amazon is sold out of Season 3, and the third-party listings cost more than the others as a result. Castlevania: Nocturne released on Blu-ray on October 8, and you can get the Blu-ray edition for $24 (was $40).

Amazon has plenty of other Blu-ray deals ahead of Halloween, so make sure to check out the retailer’s many horror–and horror-adjacent, like Castlevania–offers before they’re gone.

Netlflix’s animated League of Legends series, Arcane, launched on Blu-ray the same day as Castlevania. Unlike Castlevania, Arcane Season 1 is available on 4K Blu-ray, and Amazon has deals on both limited editions. Arcane’s Limited Edition 4K Steelbook featuring Jinx is available for $41 (was $60, while the 1080p Blu-ray Limited Edition Steelbook featuring Vi is $37.33 (was $55).

In case you missed it when it first aired, Castlevania follows vampire hunter Trevor Belmont, powerful witch Sypha, and Alucard as they take on Dracula and his demonic armies. The second half of the show focuses on a coven of vampires looking to create their own undead kingdom, as well as the foul-mouthed Grim Reaper himself (this might just be Malcolm McDowell’s best role ever).

As you’d expect, the show is violent and has beautifully animated action scenes, as well as banter sharper than a razor blade during some of the more quiet scenes. For the extras, you’ll get behind-the-scenes videos, voice actor interviews, storyboards, art galleries, and more spread across these box sets.

Set hundreds of years after the original Castlevania animated series, Nocturne Season 1 followed Richter Belmont and took inspiration from the 1993 PC Engine game Rondo of Blood, which some fans may know better by a different name. Rondo of Blood was exclusive to Japan at launch; Konami brought the story to North America on Super Nintendo as Castlevania: Dracula X.

Netflix recently teased Season 2 of Nocturne, which will debut in January and is inspired by the classic original PlayStation game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the direct sequel of Rondo of Blood.
