Untitled David Chase Horror Movie
Deadline reports The Sopranos’ David Chase and Terence Winter are attached to write a horror film—their “first theatrical film screenplay and feature producing collaboration”—for New Line Cinema. Though details on the plot are currently under wraps, Chase intends to direct the project, himself.
Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor
Deadline also reports a film adaptation of Shawn M. Warner’s YA novel, Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor, is now in development at Stars Collective. The story follows “a teenage girl who teams up with a ghost with multiple personalities to solve the mystery of her parents’ murder.”
The Pope’s Exorcist, Parts II and III
During his recent appearance on The Six O’Clock Show (via MovieWeb), Russell Crowe revealed two potential sequels to The Pope’s Exorcist have been discussed at Screen Gems.
That’s in discussion at the moment. The original producers…they originally got the kickoff from the studio not just for one sequel but for two. But there’s been a change of studio heads at the moment so that’s going around in a few circles. But very definitely, man.
We set that character up that you could take him out and put him into a lot of different circumstances. And remember that the man that’s based on, Gabriele Amorth, he wrote twelve books. So we have more than enough source material to do one or two more of those films. But that probably won’t be until next year.

Todd Phillips shared the first poster for Joker: Folie a Deux on Instagram with the promise of a trailer coming this April 9.
