Blasphemous 2’s New Limited Collector’s Edition Gets Nice Discount For PS5 At Amazon

Estimated read time 3 min read

A very cool edition of one of the best metroidvanias in recent memory is on sale at Amazon for a limited time. Blasphemous 2’s Limited Collector’s Edition, which released in August, is up for grabs for $85 (was $100). Only the PlayStation 5 version is available for this price, as the Nintendo Switch edition still costs the full $100. That said, you’re getting a lot of extras here, more than what’s offered with some collector’s editions that costs twice as much.

Blasphemous 2’s well-realized gothic world, haunting enemies, and methodical combat make it a great choice for fans of Castlevania and Dark Souls. The first game in the series was good, but the sequel is much better (and bigger). It’s worth noting there’s a standard physical edition available for $30 for Switch and $25 for Xbox Series X (the PS5 version is sold out), but Blasphemous 2’s Limited Collector’s Edition looks pretty darn cool.

Our Blasphemous 2 review awarded it a 9/10, praising its improvements over the original along with its brooding art style.

“Blasphemous 2 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, mixing its unique and harrowing aesthetic with a gameplay amalgam of Metroidvanias and Souls-likes,” wrote critic Richard Wakeling. “Where the first game faltered, however, its sequel makes significant improvements, resulting in a thrilling adventure that doesn’t run out of steam.”
