Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fans have even more to dig into in the coming weeks, with three new multiplayer maps coming as part of Season 1. Activision took to the official Call of Duty account on X with a sneak peek of the upcoming maps, with a short clip previewing what’s still to come and heralding the game’s first-ever season.
Black Ops 6 players already saw a few new additions to the game’s current multiplayer options over the weekend with the return of the classic Nuketown map, originally seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops, and the new Infected game mode. Now, Black Ops 6 owners on all platforms can look forward to brand-new content to round out their multiplayer matches with.
Three new Black Ops 6 maps are on the way with Season 1. Core multiplayer maps Hideout and Extraction, as well as Strike map Heirloom, are being added to the first-person shooter when Season 1 goes live as of Nov. 14. It’s unclear whether all three will debut at once or if players will be drip fed over time. Core multiplayer maps can be used with any game type, and both Hideout and Extraction will offer 6v6 scuffles. Heirloom is built for 2v2 matches, particularly Gunfight, but it can also be used as a typical 6v6 map as well.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 newest maps
Hideout
Though there are scant details about each map so far, we can surmise that Hideout looks to be set on some sort of military base, with massive tented barracks in the center of the map. You’ll find several nooks and crannies on flyby, with abandoned vehicles and sparse areas to hide in if you’re interested in waiting for your enemies.
Extraction
Extraction is situated in a picturesque hangar surrounded by glistening coastal waters, palm trees, and a helipad off to the side. There looks to be a massive enclosure area, as well as buses, choppers and crashing waves to explore — but you won’t want to get caught up in taking in the scenery.
Heirloom
Heirloom is set in a large museum-like enclosure with various exotic (and likely priceless) items. It looks to be perfect for close-quarters combat and shootouts, making it an excellent option for the intimate setting of a 2v2 Gunfight.
All three new Black Ops 6 multiplayer maps don’t cost a thing. You’ll get all three of them for free, no matter whether you’re playing the latest Call of Duty by way of Xbox Game Pass or if you purchased a copy.
However, there will be a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 battle pass debuting separately from the maps that you can also purchase. It will cost 1,100 COD points, or about $10, granting you weapon blueprints, charms, emblems, skins and other unlockable goodies. The maps, however, are not a part of the battle pass.
Additional maps released throughout the life cycle of Black Ops 6 will also be free of charge.
