Up to $1,000 off with trade-in and new line

Flip phones have come a long way since the ’90s, with foldable phones now at the height of technology.  The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is not only one of the best foldables out there but also one of our favorite models of all. Of course, that does mean it comes with a premium price tag, with a starting price of $1,000, though for a foldable it falls on the affordable spectrum. The good news is, thanks to carrier models and trade-in credits, there are some deals to bring that price down.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is one of the hottest devices in mobile tech right now, and it’s a great buy even at full price. With a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, a larger 3.4-inch outer display and a 6.7-inch foldable inner display, you’re going to get a lot of phone for your money, and it’s a notable upgrade over the older Galaxy Z Flip 4.

What colors does the Galaxy Z Flip 5 come in?

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes in a ton of colors, although some are Samsung-exclusive. Every retailer should offer graphite, lavender, cream and mint. Those looking to pick up a new Galaxy Z Flip 5 in gray, blue, green or yellow have to buy directly from Samsung.

Best Galaxy Z Flip 5 deals

Samsung hasn’t dropped its starting price on the Z Flip 5, but you can save up to $500 in instant trade-in credit when you trade in your old phone. Recent models from Apple, Samsung and Google will net you the biggest discount, but even old phones will score you at least $200 in savings. Nearly all colors, including the Samsung exclusive colors, are currently in stock in both the 256GB and 512GB models.

Carrier models purchased through Samsung are offering extra savings. All models get a $50 instant credit from Samsung for purchasing through them. On top of that, AT&T customers will get the biggest discount of up to $1,000 with an eligible trade-in and purchase on an installment plan. T-Mobile customers qualify for up to $500 in trade-in credit, but only the 256GB model is available. Verizon customers can also save up to $500 in trade-in credit, but at the time of this update, all Verizon models were out of stock.

Samsung is also offering some additional savings on other devices when bundled with this purchase, including $133 off a Galaxy Watch 6 and $130 off a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro

You can save $100 on all unlocked configurations of the Z Flip 5 right now at Best Buy, which drops the 256GB model to $900 and the 512GB model to $1,020. You can save even more if you have an old phone to trade in, up to $525.

Verizon customers can get enhanced trade-in credit, which can save them up to $1,000 as long as they have — or switch to — an eligible unlimited plan.

Like Best Buy, Amazon is offering $100 off the 256GB version of the Z Flip 5, which drops the starting price to $900. The bigger deal is on the 512GB, which is currently discounted by 20%, bringing the price down to $900, a $220 savings.

If T-Mobile is your carrier of choice, there are several options. You can get up to $1,000 off with trade in if you’re on or switch to the Go5G Next or Go5G Plus. If you add a new line on the Go5G, 4 for $100, Magenta, or ONE plans, you can get up to $600 in bill credits. New customers and existing customers can trade in for up to $300 credit, including older phones like the Galaxy S9 or iPhone 11.

When you purchase a Galaxy Z Flip 5 from AT&T on an installment plan and trade in an eligible phone, you can get up to $1,000 back in monthly bill credits over 36 months, which will get you the 215GB Galaxy Z Flip essentially for free.

Plus right now, the purchase of this phone gets you a pair of Galaxy Buds FE for free.

New and existing customers can score some Z Flip 5 savings at Verizon. If you’re adding a new line of service on a qualifying 5G unlimited plan, you can save up to $1,000 with an eligible trade-in, which scores you the basic 256GB model for free. If you’re an existing Verizon customer who qualifies for an upgrade, you can still save up to $800 with just a trade-in.

Verizon is also offering some other bonuses, including $170 off a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and up to $550 Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G, although you’ll need a new line of service for these devices.

You can get $100 off the list price of the Z Flip 5 from Spectrum by trading in an old phone worth $1 or more. The savings is instant if you’re buying the phone outright, and spread out over payments if you do an installment plan. In addition, you may qualify for more trade-in credit.

At the time of this update, the ZFlip 5 256 GB model was on backorder, but the 512 GB model was in stock.

Right now at MintMobile the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is discounted by $50 as long as you sign up for a 12-month plan through the carrier.
