Great 4K TVs no longer have to be a pricey affair, and if you’re looking for a large TV with a high resolution, this Toshiba C350 is right up your alley. It also supports HDR10 and is built on the Fire TV platform, which is great if you’re already in the Amazon ecosystem.

Insignia

Insignia is Best Buy’s TV brand that’s aimed towards the more budget-friendly market, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a really great TV. Not only is it large for the price it’s on sale for, but it’s 4K, comes with HDR10, and is run on the Amazon Fire TV platform, so it’s perfect if you’re in the Amazon ecosystem.

Amazon

The Omni QLED series is Amazon’s most advanced TV to date. Along with the stunning 4K UHD display, this 55-inch TV is equipped with a built-in microphone so you can control it completely hands-free. It also features support for HDR10 Plus Adaptive, HLG and Dolby Vision IQ, and has a light sensor to help automatically optimize the screen’s brightness.

Hisense/CNET

With both mini-LED full array dimming and a QLED panel, this Hisense U6 will give you excellent color reproduction and visual fidelity. Even better, it supports HLG, which is an HDR standard used by many sports broadcasters. You get proper HDR when watching compatible sports streams, making you feel as if you’re right there; with a 75-inch TV, you might as well be.

Samsung

It’s not always easy to find an excellent large-screen TV. This 75-inch Samsung TU690T is certainly it, especially given its price tag. It comes with HDR 10 Plus, Motion Rate 120 and a game enhancer for gamers, so it’s a versatile TV. It also integrates with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and SmartThings, so it can handle most ecosystems out there.

Hisense

This Hisense A7 is a good addition to any living room if you like to host a lot of get-togethers, including watching sports. At 85 inches, you’re not going to get much larger without spending many times the price, plus you get things like HDR10 and Direct-Lit LED, meaning it has a more uniform color. That also makes it great for watching movies, shows and even playing games, so it’s a solid all-arounder.

TCL

Massive TVs are great for watching sports, and this Q-Class TCL QLED TV is one of our favorites. It comes with HDR, HDR10 Plus and even HLG, which is an HDR standard most sports broadcasters use. The TV features Motion Rate 240 for smoother motion as well as a variable refresh rate and integrations for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

lg-80-series-bf lg-80-series-bf

LG

While this 75-inch LG 80 Series is a bit pricey, it’s an excellent option for sports-watching, not because of its size, but because it has HLG, which is an HDR standard that a lot of sports broadcasters use. It also has a base refresh rate of 120Hz, which is perfect for sports, action-packed films and shows and even video games, so your money will be very well spent.

Samsung

If you want a TV that’s fully-packed with features and excellent image fidelity, it’s hard to beat the CU8000. It has both HDR10+ and HLG, the latter of which is an HDR standard used by many sports broadcasters. It also has a base refresh rate of 120Hz, which is good for gaming and more action-packed content. That said, the TV is only edge-lit, so the lighting uniformity isn’t as good as a direct-lit or full-array TV. This isn’t a dealbreaker, just something to consider.

If you want something that’s just as much an art piece as it is a TV, then The Frame is what you want. With thin bezels that can be covered in various types of wood paneling to make it look like a frame, it’s made to be hung on the wall and be part of your interior design. It’s also quite powerful under the hood, with a 120Hz refresh rate, support for HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG, as well as running a QLED panel, so it’s truly excellent all around.

It also comes with the suite of features you’d expect, such as HDR10 Plus, HLG and a base refresh rate of 120Hz. It’s a great TV for both sports and gaming, especially if you prefer more action-packed stuff.

What should you look for in a 4K TV deal?

With hundreds of different 4K TV deals from a variety of brands to choose from, it can be hard to know exactly what to look for. The size of your space will likely dictate which deals are appropriate for you, and the number of devices you want to plug in will also rule out any 4K TVs with very few HDMI ports. Since most new TVs are smart these days, you’ll also want to consider which platform a 4K TV runs, such as Amazon’s Fire OS, Google TV or Roku, as well as any smart home integrations you’ll want to make the most off — like Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple’s HomeKit and AirPlay tech.

Price is a determining factor for a lot of folks, so scoring a steep 4K TV discount is never a bad thing. Often, TV makers release new models each year, which can prompt previous-gen TVs to go on sale with large price cuts despite relatively minor changes. It’s often worth considering a TV set from a year or two ago if you don’t need cutting-edge tech.

When are the best 4K TV deals available?

Like most consumer electronics, the best 4K TV deals will be found around major sales events like Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday. These events offer some of the best prices of the year and see multiple retailers competing for shoppers’ cash, which is good news for your wallet. That’s not to say you can’t find a good 4K TV deal all year round, though. We keep tabs on TV pricing throughout the year and any surprise, out-of-season sales will be listed above.

Which retailers usually offer the best 4K TV deals?

When you think of nabbing a 4K TV deal, you should start at big-box retailers like Best Buy, Target and Walmart. These stores tend to offer some of the biggest sales on 4K TVs, both in-store and online, with online-only retailers like Amazon often matching prices — especially during the fall sale season.
