It’s been a little bit less than a week since Larian Studios released Patch #7 for Baldur’s Gate 3, and players may have found a way to potentially create their own homebrew (original) stories using the game’s newly added Toolkit.
(Via Rock Paper Shotgun), we know that a modder known as Siegfre was able to dig a little deeper into the game files and discovered a way to use the Toolkit to its full potential by creating the BG3 Toolkit Unlocked. According to the description of the mod, this “unlocks the disabled features and enables write permissions for the BG3 Toolkit.” These include “level editing, save editing, and more.”
Even though Toolkit has only been out for a few days, a considerable amount of players are already using it. Shortly after Patch #7 was released, Swen Vincke, the CEO and founder of Larian Studios, tweeted that the studio had “more than a million mods installed in less than 24 hours.”
Modding is pretty big – we had more than a million mods installed in less than 24 hours.

For those unaware, Toolkit is a mod manager players can use while playing Baldur’s Gate 3. It is worth mentioning that it only supports mods that were created using the newly added feature.
In other Baldur’s Gate 3 news, it was recently revealed that players have smooched their fellow party members 75 million times.
