Walmart’s Labor Day deals are pleasantly similar to the jaw-dropping ones we saw during Amazon Prime Day. This means we’re seeing head-turning, competitive discounts on various products. While we expected good deals, I can’t say we expected the M1 MacBook Air to make another return for only $649 — the same price it was going for during its last sale. For a laptop that once sold at $999, buying this Mac now instead of its usual $699 price tag is an easy choice.
However, unlike previous sales, this deal isn’t exclusive to Walmart Plus subscribers; it’s open to everyone — just add it to your cart and check out. The discount is available across all three colors, but we can’t vouch for how quickly Walmart’s MacBook Air stocks will run dry. After all, Walmart placed the “bestselling” tag on it for a good reason.
CNET’s experts have gathered the best Labor Day laptop deals so you can enjoy deep discounts for work or play.

This particular configuration comes with an Apple M1 chip, which includes an 8-core CPU and a 7-core GPU. That chip is backed up by 8GB of RAM and a fast 256GB SSD, while the thing people spend their time looking at, the 13.3-inch display, promises sharp text and vibrant colors.
This MacBook Air is silent thanks to the lack of a fan and sports a long-lasting battery that can run for up to 18 hours between charges. Factor in support for Apple’s latest MacOS software updates and tight integration with other Apple hardware, like the iPhone and iPad, and this extremely capable laptop is hard to beat at this price.
Don’t worry if this deal isn’t for you, though. There are tons of other Labor Day laptop deals that might contain something for you. Feel free to peruse other Apple deals and check back often since we’ll be updating these pages throughout this event.
