Modern video games have stellar graphics compared to their predecessors, which naturally means today’s games take up quite a bit more space on your hard drive. This can easily complicate things for frequent gamers who enjoy having a variety of games at their disposal.
That’s where external drives and other storage options come in. Seagate is currently having a sale on its drives and expansion cards in the lead-up to Black Friday, so if you’re looking to expand your gaming storage, now’s a good time to do so, especially if you have the Xbox Game Pass.
The biggest discount is 44% off Seagate’s most expensive option, the 2TB expansion card for the Xbox Series X and Series S. It normally costs $360, but it’s marked down to $200 right now, which is $30 less than its Prime Day low.
This is the highest capacity expansion card that Seagate has for the Xbox Series consoles, and it allows you to install many more games at a time without sacrificing performance, graphics, frame rates and load times. This is an official licensed product from Xbox and Microsoft, so games that play from the card promise to perform at the same peak levels as they would if they were stored on the console’s internal storage.
If you don’t need quite that much space or want to go cheaper, the 1TB version is on sale for 7% off at $149.

For those who need even more space and don’t mind a larger device, the 4TB Seagate Game Drive for Xbox is now only $110, down from its usual price of $135. It features a green LED light to complement the Xbox aesthetic. Amazon is offering a discount of $14 on the 8TB Seagate Game Drive for Xbox, which means you’ll pay only $206.
It’s worth noting that the expansion cards work exclusively on the Xbox Series X and S, while the hard drives work on both Series and Xbox One consoles.

If you’re not looking for the Xbox or PlayStation branding, you can also get the regular Seagate-branded hard drives. The 2TB external hard drive is $72, and the 16TB expansion hard drive is $280 right now.
