When is Amazon’s Black Friday sale?

As of right now, Amazon has yet to announce any dates for its Black Friday sale. Though in the past, the online retailer has kicked off its official sale roughly seven days before Black Friday, which falls on Nov. 29 this year. Following that same pattern, Amazon’s 2024 Black Friday sale will likely start around Nov. 22. It’s also worth noting that the October Prime Day sale (Oct. 8 and 9) marks the informal start of Amazon’s holiday shopping season, and we’ve been seeing plenty of excellent early deals rolling in since then.

The savings will continue well after Nov. 29, however. The Black Friday sale will roll directly into Cyber Monday on Dec. 2, where you’re likely to see many of the same discounts and perhaps even some new offers. It’s also possible some of these offers will remain available in the days following Cyber Monday as “Cyber Week” deals.

What kind of Black Friday deals will be available on Amazon?

Amazon is keeping its cards close to its chest regarding what items we’ll see on sale for Black Friday this year. But from past experience, we know the online retailer will be offering be savings across a number of categories, including tech, home goods, fashion, fitness equipment, toys and much more. There will be plenty of deals on gadgets and electronics, including some record-low prices on Amazon’s own devices like Echo speakers and Fire tablets.

Do I need a Prime Membership to shop at Amazon’s Black Friday sale?

No, a Prime membership is not required to shop at Amazon’s Black Friday sale. However, there will be some deals and discounts that are exclusively available to those who do have a Prime subscription. A standard Prime membership is $15 per month or $139 for the year, but there is a 30-day free trial for new subscribers, which is a good way to score some extra savings. Just be sure to cancel your membership before you’re charged.
