Dynadot’s monthly auction is a scorcher.Ai written on a computer chip
Dynadot’s monthly .ai expired domain name auction, held in conjunction with the .ai registry, concludes today. Domains started closing this morning, but not all lots have completed.
These auctions are a game of attrition. Bids placed in the final hour extend the auction closing to an hour. So all day today, domains have approached a close, only to be reset.
For example, as I write this at 3 pm PST, another last minute bid came in for engage.ai. It’s up to $86,889, and the clock has been reset to an hour. (Update: no more bids were received on this domain and it was the final auction price.)
It’s not just expensive domains that get reset, either. An auction for arta.ai is still going strong even though its bid is currently less than $500.
While I’d like to wait for the auction to close before posting the results, the attrition has gotten to me as a mere observer. I’ve updated bids for seven hours straight and have a pickleball game in an hour. So this is the best I can do.
Here’s what I’ve tallied:
The top sale will be engage.ai.
These other top sales are finalized:
prediction.ai $31,500
tactic.ai $25,088
lightspeed.ai $23,202
he.ai $22,824
ru.ai $16,200
efficiency.ai $15,188
bounce.ai $14,501
ew.ai $14,288
assignment.ai $14,088
I’ll update this post with the final price for engage. In the meantime, as of 3:05 PST, here are the bid prices for domains at $500 or more. A + represents the auction is still ongoing.
