Everything You Need to Know About the New KitchenAid Design Series Evergreen Stand Mixer

The air is getting brisker, the sun is setting earlier, and pumpkin spice is back on every menu. That can only mean one thing: Fall is arriving, and it’s a great time to be a home cook. Some of our favorite brands are celebrating the season with festive product launches — from Anthropologie’s pumpkin-filled collection to Le Creuset’s Harvest cookware. Now, KitchenAid is joining the celebration with a brand new addition to its design series. The evergreen stand mixer matches fall decor, and thanks to its unique walnut bowl, you’ll want to display it on your kitchen countertop all year long.

The $700 launch is a bit of a departure from KitchenAid’s typical design, and it has our staff — and the internet — completely divided.

The evergreen stand mixer features the same tilt-head design and 10-speed dial you’ll find on KitchenAid’s classic mixers, and it comes with a flat beater, dough hook, and whisk attachment — all of which are dishwasher-safe. It’s also easy to use, and thanks to its 48-inch cord, you won’t have to worry about reaching a power outlet.

Instead of the brand’s iconic stainless steel bowl, this nature-inspired model comes with a 5-quart walnut wood bowl that would look just as at home in a mountain cabin as it would in a chic city apartment. While KitchenAid doesn’t recommend using it in the dishwasher, the bowl is made for daily use and has a food-safe finish. The brand recommends seasoning it periodically to keep it looking as good as new.

Its brass accents add to the mixer’s seasonal elegance, including a power hub cover with a beautiful branch engravement. Take the cover off, and you can attach a host of KitchenAid mixer attachments and accessories that make tasks like sifting flour, spiralizing zucchini, and rolling out pasta dough easier than ever before.

Several Food & Wine editors have been skeptical of the appliance’s practicality since its launch, but the design seems to have plenty of fans online. “I don’t even bake, but I just want it to sit pretty on my kitchen counter,” an X user stated in a comment. One Reddit user even called it a “work of art” in an r/KitchenAid thread.

But some folks — even those who love the mixer’s aesthetic — are raising eyebrows at its steep price tag. “Will it make me bake and cook? For $700, it better make me do something,” one TikTok user joked in a now-viral video.

If you’re looking to add some autumnal vibes to your kitchen and don’t mind a splurge, grab this eye-catching KitchenAid mixer ahead of the holidays. With its sleek matte design and unique walnut bowl, this mixer infuses any space with warmth and promises to make all your favorite seasonal recipes even cozier.
