The Aang gang will return for two more seasons. Netflix has officially announced the renewal of Avatar: The Last Airbender, meaning the live-action series will get to complete the story based on the animated Nickelodeon show.

The official Netflix account on X (formerly known as Twitter) revealed that Seasons 2 and 3 have been greenlit for Avatar: The Last Airbender. The streaming service added that the show has over 41 million views after premiering February 22. It’s also been the No. 1 series in 76 countries across the world.

Netflix isn’t releasing episode counts for the upcoming seasons yet. Season 1 contained eight episodes, for context, running roughly in range from 47 minutes to 64 minutes. There is also no timeline for when Avatar: The Last Airbender will come back. The original Nickelodeon series ran for three seasons as well, with a total of 61 episodes.

Each season saw Aang mastering a new element, something Netflix highlights in the announcement image above. Season 2 will focus on earth bending, while Season 3 sees the Avatar learning fire bending.

Last month, actor Ken Leung–who portrays Commander Zhao–admitted that he originally thought he was auditioning for a part in James Cameron’s Avatar movie franchise. “When I first heard it was for Avatar, I thought I was going to be blue,” said Leung.
