Trump Spent the Weekend Flying Around on Jeffrey Epstein’s Plane

Politically speaking, Donald Trump has made a lot of bad decisions lately. Whether it’s picking J.D. “couch fucker” Vance as his candidate for veep or telling an audience full of African Americans that Kamala Harris only recently “turned” Black, the candidate hasn’t been doing himself (or his campaign) any favors. The campaign’s latest blunder is the use of a private aircraft that previously belonged to dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In yet another bizarre twist to a presidential race that already has plenty, it would appear that Trump has been flying on a plane that formerly belonged to Epstein—a guy that Trump was, at one time, friends with. The Miami Herald reports that Trump recently flew on a “Gulfstream with a serial number that matches a plane once owned by Epstein.” The plane, which has been affixed with a “Trump 2024″ decal, is currently owned by a charter aviation firm dubbed Threshold Aviation Group, the Herald writes, citing public flight data.

Trump only recently switched to using the plane after his personal jet, Trump Force One, began experiencing technical difficulties in Montana last week, the newspaper writes. After landing in Bozeman, Trump took off in Epstein’s old plane and used it to travel to several campaign stops, including Jackson Hole, Wyoming, as well as Denver and Aspen, Colorado.

For the record, Trump’s campaign claims it had no idea that the plane in question previously belonged to Epstein. When reached for comment by the Herald, campaign staff told the newspaper: “The campaign had no awareness that the charter plane had been owned by Mr. Epstein.” The spokesperson also said that the charter was commissioned by a vendor that the campaign had frequently worked with. “We heard about the former owner through the media.”

Gizmodo reached out to the Trump campaign for comment.

Trump’s ties to Epstein are well-known and, from a PR perspective, not great. Among other things, there are pictures and video of Trump and Epstein hanging out, records of Trump flying on Epstein’s plane, testimony from Epstein’s house-keeper that Trump frequently ate meals at Epstein’s house, and a whole lot of people who have gone on record as saying that the two men were, at one point, friends. The kicker, of course, is that in 2002, Trump, himself, said of Epstein: “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.” So, yeah, not great.

To make matters worse, Jeffrey Epstein’s “little black book” is scheduled to be auctioned off this week, in an event that will likely draw more attention to the ties between Trump and the dead pedophile. This book encompasses Epstein’s rolodex of contacts and has often been referred to as a compendium of some of the most powerful people in the world. Again, Trump’s name, and the names of people associated with Trump, turn up in the book a number of times.
