Kevin Feige Says Marvel’s New Blade Movie Has to Be R-Rated

The Corsair Code

According to Deadline, Chris Hemsworth will star in The Corsair Code, a “high-octane, sci-fi mystery adventure” at Apple based on a short story by Jonathan Tropper.

 


The Long Walk

Deadline also reports Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Jordan Gonzalez, Joshua Odjick and Roman Griffin Davis have joined the cast of Francis Lawrence’s upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Long Walk.


Hellboy: The Crooked Man

According to Comic Book, Hellboy: The Crooked Man has been rated “R” for “some violent content, language and nudity.”


Blade

Meanwhile, Kevin Feige promised BlackTreeTV (via Bloody-Disgusting) the cursed Blade reboot would also be rated “R” if it ever sees the light of day.

For the last few years, as we’ve been trying to crack that movie, the most important thing for us is not rushing it. And making sure we are making the right Blade movie. There were some great Blade movies years ago… they were all rated R. So I think that’s inherent–like Deadpool–inherent with the character of Blade.


Transformers One

Borderlands

Lionsgate has released a final trailer for its Borderlands movie.

Elsewhere, a new Wicked featurette reveals nine million tulips were grown for the movie instead of the original’s poppies.

TV Line reports Lucy Lawless will reprise her role as Lucretia in Spartacus: House of Ashur.


The Terror: Devil in Silver

Variety also reports Judith Light, CCH Pounder, Chinaza Uche, Hampton Fluker, Aasif Mandvi, John Benjamin Hickey, Stephen Root, Hayward Leach, Michael Aronov, Marin Ireland and Philip Ettinger have joined the cast of The Terror‘s third season in currently undisclosed roles.


The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires

Deadline reports HBO has ordered a series based on Grady Hendrix’s novel, The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires, from The Righteous Gemstones’ Danny McBride and Edi Patterson. The story concerns “a women’s book club that must protect its suburban community from a mysterious and handsome stranger that may be a vampire killing their children.”


Superman & Lois

Finally, The CW has released a full trailer for the fourth season of Superman & Lois.
