We’ve still got a year until everyone’s favorite murderous dancing doll M3GAN returns, but Blumhouse just shared a terrifying first look. Production on M3GAN 2.0, currently scheduled for release on June 27, 2025, began this week and with it came a nice list of cast members new and old. It also came with a new post showing what we can only imagine is beneath the M3GAN animatronic used on screen.
At least, it better be. Because if this runs around at any point saying “it wants to play with us” it’ll be 100 times scarier than anything in the film itself. Here’s the M3GAN 2.0 skeleton courtesy of Blumhouse.

Cree-to-the-pee. On a much less terrifying note, Deadline reports that the sequel—which is once again written by Akela Cooper and directed by Gerard Johnstone—is adding actors Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari, and Jemaine Clement. Sharp is a comedy TV staple appearing on shows from Undeclared to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Athari was on Saturday Night Live from 2021 and 2022, and Clement, well, we all know Jemaine. Flight of the Conchords, What We Do in the Shadows, Moana, etc.
They’ll join a cast that returns original stars Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, and Jenna Davis. Ivanna Sakhno, aka Ahsoka’s Shin Hati herself, was also previously announced as a new addition.
When last we left M3GAN, the doll’s body may have been gone, but its consciousness had transferred to the family’s smart home device. How she’ll get out, and what havoc she may wreak, remains unknown. We’ll find out next summer.
