Coolest Halloween decorations for $50 or less
These spooky-season wreaths are a great addition to any space. These kind of spooky wreaths can make a big impact, whether you’re going for a fully festive space or just want one key piece to nod to the holiday. I may just keep this one up all yearlong.
Is it even Halloween if you don’t have bats? Perfect for adding a little extra spooky charm to your home this Halloween season. For $8, you get a pack of 60 stickers that are easy to adhere and take down. You can put these basically anywhere, including the inside of your car if you’d like to decorate beyond your house.
You can use this haunted mummy hand to hold a spooky Halloween wreath (we’ve found a cool skull wreath that you can check out further down the page) — or any other decor.
Need to create atmosphere on a budget? This large piece of creepy black gauze cloth is versatile and can easily go on porches, walls, entryways, staircases and more. For $15, you get 276 by 87 inches of cloth that you can layer, drape or cut into separate pieces for more versatility.
If it’s All Hallow’s Eve, you’re gonna need skeletons. This easy-to-do decor is great for haunts and walkways so that trick-or-treaters can get a good scare.
Give yourself a hand this season with these versatile decorations. Use them to showcase your jewelry, hold candles for atmospheric effect or simply mount them in creative ways to disturb passersby. The quality of materials makes these great pieces to reuse every year.
I love a sign that tells you exactly who someone is. If you’re wanting to give the neighborhood kids a fright, this hilarious metal sign gets right to the heart of the matter.
Need a low-cost, no-fuss option this Halloween? This officially licensed Ghostface door cover is 80 by 37 inches and fits most standard exterior doors. And for a solid, scary decoration for under $25, this will definitely make an impact.
Just getting started with animatronics? This option is half-off right now, coming in at $50, which makes it a more accessible option. It’s a great way to amplify your scare tactics, as this animatronic spider will leap out at passersby and give them a good jump scare. Just note that because this is an oversized item, additional shipping charges will apply, so factor that into your budget.
More Halloween decor for under $50:
- Hompavo LED flame light bulb (2-pack): $16. These moody, flickering LED light bulbs are great because they’re so versatile. You can use them inside during parties, in your lamps for flickering in your windows or even outside by your door or in compatible lamp posts. There’s a built-in gravity sensor as well, so it works regardless of the direction your bulbs screw in.
- KatchOn hand Halloween yard stakes: $12. Shadow yard decorations are a low-cost option that makes a big impact and they look so cool to me. You could put these anywhere in the yard and it would be effective.
- 9-piece hanging bats: $7. You’ll have to do a little DIY with these, but the kit comes with everything you need and its a great project for kids. Plus, it’s bats. I love Halloween.
- Graveyard tombstones (6-pack): $17 If you’re planning on building a graveyard this year I prefer more realistic stone looking decorations like these that stand at 16 inches tall and have a lot of detail. Also, the one that says, “Let me out” made me giggle. It reminds me of the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney.
- 5-foot bloody body bag: $20. This gory body bag is great for graveyard scenes and other creepy haunts. It’s lightweight and includes the twine ropes you will need to tie the bloody bag over the inflatable.
- AnanBros 5-foot hanging corpse prop: $14. Getting a bit darker with this one. But if that’s what you’re going for, I support this choice. It’ll definitely set the scene.
- Purple LED string lights: $17. Classic purple string lights. A staple, really.
- Spider webs (900 square feet) and spiders (30-pack): $11. Also this. If you don’t have this messy, classic, I’m-just-gonna-throw-this-out- later-cos-its-covered-in-leaves-now, decoration, then are you really doing Halloween right?
- Light-up 3-tier jack-o’-lantern decoration: $40. This 14-inch light-up statue is a great alternative to carving your own pumpkins. It has LED lights and is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors, so you can plug it in by your door or near a stoop to help light the way for trick-or-treaters.
- DII 70-inch Halloween Portrait tablecloth: $34. Themed tablecloths are also a must. This is great for a drink table.
Halloween decorations that are worth the splurge
Whether you’re looking to outfit your porch or a party table, this decoration is a solid addition to any celebration or haunt.
This is exactly the kind of fun thing I love at Halloween parties. The spooky themed serving decor is the perfect amount of whimsy.
Throw a speaker behind this Haunted Mansion inflatable and have it playing “grim grinning ghosts” on repeat, it’ll almost be like you’re on the ride! Almost….(okay not at all really but it’s still fun).
More Halloween decor options worth splurging on:
- Qizin 1,500-watt fog machine: $145. This home fog machine can definitely help make the atmosphere at a party pretty spooky. It produces about 25,000 cubic feet of fog per minute. You can also use it in a covered area like your garage or on your front porch — and since it comes with a cordless remote, you can let out a burst of smoke as trick-or-treaters approach. Just note that you must also purchase fog fluid to use in the machine, which is sold separately.
- Eliminator Amber Fog 20-watt fogger: $73. Alternatively, if you don’t need something as powerful as all that, you can score this cheaper model that can produce 2,500 cubic feet of fog per minute. It’s a perfect addition for haunted houses or graveyards.
- Black flameless flickering candles with remote (9-piece): $70. These black electric candles are great for indoor decor since they don’t require actual flames. Plus they’re black candles.
- Sound-activated Animated Headless man (59-inch): $206. You have to have at least one creepy motion activated statue. And this one comes with a dish you could put your trick-or-treat candy in.
- Haunted Mansion ghosts inflatable: $139. Okay one more Haunted Mansion one. Because these are so cool and easy to set up. Perhaps you could pick up these hitchhiking ghosts as you ride around looking at everyone’s haunts. I’m sure they’d love to see the neighborhood, too!
- Garden Yeti Bigfoot statue: $226. Who doesn’t love a cryptid?
- 24-inch Sir Gawain’s Dragon wall sculpture: $269. I would have this in my house all the time. Building a dungeon motif for your house this year? This is a requirement.
- The Zombie of Montclaire Moors statue: $246. This is perhaps the most terrifying thing I have found this year. It’s so uncanny valley and off-putting that this thing doesn’t even look human, and I love it.
- The Creeper wall sculture: $101. I’m a sucker for cool wall hangings, and this one is just the right amount of steps below being completely tacky.
- Bone Chillin’ Skeleton Motorcycle statue: $105. It’s giving Ghost Rider. Park this in front of your garage. Just do it.
- Scary Teeth garage door mural (7-foot x 16-foot): $149. Or alternatively, turn your entire house into a monster.
