While the Marvel world eagerly anticipates the arrival of Deadpool & Wolverine later this month, the studio itself is already looking to what’s next–and what’s next is flying high as Sam Wilson finally takes on the Captain America mantle for good in our first look at Brave New World.
Set after the events of Sam’s streaming TV team-up with Bucky Barnes in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Brave New World sees Sam firmly behind the shield and in the red-white-and-blue boots of Captain America. Now working alongside the newly-elected President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (now played by Harrison Ford, following the passing of William Hurt), Brave New World sees Sam tasked with facing down the return of Tim Blake Nelson’s version of The Leader from the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie.
Here’s a new poster, to boot, of a very familiar red hand–hulking, even–putting the squeeze on Sam’s shield:
Also starring Giancarlo Esposito, Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s Carl Lumbly and Danny Ramirez as Isiah Bradley and Joaquin Torres, respectively, Captain America: Brave New World is currently set to hit theaters February 14, 2025.
