TV deals come and go throughout the calendar year but Fourth of July sales offer an opportunity to save some serious cash at places like Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart. It doesn’t matter if you want a TV from Sony, Samsung, LG, Hisense, TCL or otherwise, you can expect big discounts across a range of models in the next week or two.
With that, we’ll be rounding up the best of the best that the web has to offer through the Fourth of July holiday. Make sure to check in regularly too as many of these are limited in time, meaning they won’t stick around for long or could disappear once supplies run dry.
Fourth of July TV sales
A record-low price for Samsung’s TU690T 65-inch model that comes with the TV maker’s Crystal UHD 4K processor. This is as cheap as we’ve seen it and it’s only available at this price via Best Buy.
A limited-time deal at Amazon brings this 65-inch Fire TV from Insignia down to its lowest-ever price at the retailer. That 33% discount knocks it down to just under the $300 mark, arriving with an LED 4K UHD display (2160p resolution) and an Alexa voice remote.
A huge $700 discount has dropped LG’s entry-level OLED to a much more affordable price. With Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support and a 120hz refresh rate, you can expect top picture quality.

Should I buy a TV on Fourth of July?
Deals on TVs crop up throughout the year, but Fourth of July tends to bring with it some of the biggest discounts (outside of Black Friday). Last year’s models are likely to see some seriously steep discounts and we also expect discounts on 2024 models now they’ve been on the market for a little while. And if you miss out, Amazon Prime Day is only around the corner which will also offer great TV deals.
What else is on sale during Fourth of July?
It’s not just TVs that are up for grabs throughout the Fourth of July sales with discounts being applied to all sorts of things. So leading up to the main day and for a short time afterward, we’ll be rounding up the best savings across smart home tech, appliances, grills, mattresses and much more.
How we choose the best Fourth of July TV deals
Many of us here at CNET have covered shopping events for well over five years, including Black Friday, Prime Day, Memorial Day and countless other sales. In that time, we’ve learned how to spot the best deals among a sea of thousands of superficial offers and scams, and we only surface the best offers from trusted retailers.
We look for real discounts, quality reviews and remaining sale time when choosing smart home deals to show you. We have a team of devoted experts who have tested hundreds of TVs to make sure we’re only bringing you the best of the best.
- Real discounts mean exactly that. We check pricing history for products on sale so we know when it’s a case of an inflated manufacturer-suggested price rather than a genuine saving.
- Quality reviews and testing are super important for any product, and especially so when it comes to the devices used in your personal spaces. A discount isn’t worthwhile if it results in a subpar product experience, no matter how much you saved.
- Remaining sale time is a huge part of our vetting process. Some deals are only around for a short time or may be limited in supply. If that’s the case, we’ll let you know upfront so you don’t come back to the deal later only to be disappointed.
