The first-person cosmic horror adventure Pneumata has revealed a Summer 2024 release date in an all-new gameplay trailer debuting at the Future Games Show.
The trailer lays bare the terror loose in Clover Hill. As a detective investigating a range of murders, it’s down to you to find out what’s going on in this tense psychological survival horror.
Mixing together games like Resident Evil 7, Outlast, and Condemned, Pneumata sees you trying to uncover the terror plaguing the town of Clover Hill in Milton, Missouri. People are going missing, things make horrible noises in the woods, and the only thing that can save both you and the town is piecing together what going on. To do that you’ll need to reassemble your fragmented memories to uncover what’s happened, survive, and avoid becoming a part of the sinister events around you.
This is a classic survival horror, where weapons, ammo, and other resources are scarce. So you’ll be forced to consider your encounters in a game where hiding or running away is always a valid tactic. You can’t be a hero when you’re dead, and Pneumata is promising some diverse and challenging enemy AI to keep you on your toes. Just don’t forget you’re there to investigate crime scenes and search for clues to help you solve a series of murders.
Pneumata is a mind-bending cosmic horror game designed to make you question what’s real and what isn’t, as the events you uncover blur the lines between reality and alternate worlds. And you’ll be able to test yourself against its stern horror action when it arrives this summer, 2024. Follow the game on Twitter for the latest updates and don’t forget to wishlist Pneumata on Steam right now!
