As North America prepares to experience a total solar eclipse today, Call of Duty is joining the celebration by adding an eclipse to Warzone‘s Rebirth Island map.
Matches of Resurgence on Rebirth Island start out with normal sunny skies, but the atmosphere gradually shifts near the first circle until the map takes on a dark and eerie vibe, which is all thanks to an in-game solar eclipse.
For players not looking to touch grass and see the real thing, Warzone’s solar eclipse might be the next best thing. Other than the atmospheric change, these battle royale matches play out as normal. However, this is most likely the only chance to earn a win with today’s unique victory cinematics that feature the solar eclipse in the background.
