Breadcrumbs Recalled Nationwide—Here’s What to Know

Estimated read time 2 min read

There’s an active recall on approximately 32,640 packages of breadcrumbs sold nationwide, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). This is due to an undeclared allergen.

The La Fiesta branded Unseasoned Bread Crumbs and Seasoned Bread Crumbs are impacted by this recall. Below is more information on both products impacted:

  • The La Fiesta Unseasoned Bread Crumbs recalled were sold in retail stores across the U.S. from April 10, 2024 through January 22, 2025, contain a UPC of 032327000886 and one of the following lot codes: 26032, 26073, 26082, 26092 or 26094.
  • The La Fiesta Seasoned Bread Crumbs recalled were sold in retail stores across the U.S. from August 29, 2024 through January 22, 2025, contain a UPC of 032327000887 and one of the following lot codes: 26094 or 26123.

Check your pantry for the above products, and if you have the recalled breadcrumbs on hand, dispose of them or return to your place of purchase for a refund. The breadcrumbs may contain sesame, which is a common allergen, so those with a sesame allergy can experience an allergic reaction as severe as anaphylaxis. Symptoms of anaphylaxis include hives, swelling, trouble breathing, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dizziness, tightness of the throat and cardiac arrest. If you are showing any of these signs after eating the recalled breadcrumbs, call 911 immediately.

There are currently no illnesses connected to this recall. For questions about this announcement, contact La Fiesta Food Products at 408-326-048, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, or anytime at QualityAssurance@lffp.com.
