Walmart Just Recalled 12,000 Cartons of Chicken Broth

There’s an active recall on approximately 12,138 cartons of chicken broth sold at Walmart, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). This is due to a packaging issue.

The 48-ounce paper cartons affected are Great Value Chicken Broth products purchased at Walmart locations in Alabama and Arkansas. The impacted chicken broth has a printed best-by date of March 25, 2026, and UPC 007874206684 on the individual cartons. The chicken broth is being recalled because, per the FDA, there is “potential for packaging failures that could compromise the sterility of the product, resulting in spoilage.”

Check your chicken broth and if it matches the recall information, dispose of it or return it to your local Walmart for a full refund. Because the product is susceptible to spoiling quickly, eating it could cause food poisoning.
