Estimated read time 2 min read

So, you just started Dragon’s Dogma 2 and you realized a few hours in that you don’t like the Arisen’s looks. Well, worry not, since there’s a way to alter your character’s mug in the middle of the campaign. Here’s our guide on how to change character appearance in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to change the appearance of your character and pawn in Dragon’s Dogma 2

You can change the appearance of your character or main pawn by visiting a makeover shop in major cities like Vernworth or Bakbattahl. These vendors have a scissor icon to denote their location.

By default, you’re allowed to change the following at a certain cost:

  • Hairstyle – 10,000 gold
  • Makeup – 10,000 gold
  • Markings/tattoos – 10,000 gold
  • Change multiple (i.e. hairstyle, makeup, and markings) – 25,000 gold

As you can see, the prices are quite steep. As such, you probably don’t want to do this early in the game. Later, though, once you’ve amassed enough gold, then you can certainly make the necessary changes.

Having a makeover can be quite pricey.

How to completely alter the appearance of a character or pawn (i.e. body type and measurements)

If you really want a complete makeover, then you need the Art of Metamorphosis. This item is sold by Pawn Guild vendors in major cities, at the cost of 500 Rift Coins (RC). Rift Coins are obtained through the following means:

  • Activating Forgotten Riftstones for the first time.
  • Having another player go on an adventure with your pawn.
  • Defeating certain specter-type enemies at night, such as Phantoms and Liches.
The Art of Metamorphosis allows for full modification, akin to what you saw during character creation.

Once you have an Art of Metamorphosis item, return to the barber shop and select the “Modify Appearance” option. You may then choose whether your character or main pawn has a makeover. This allows you to change their body type, measurements, muscularity, eyes, lips–the works–similar to character creation at the start of the game.
