Lego Horizon Adventures for Nintendo Switch and PS5 is on sale for a huge discount at just about every retailer. Released November 14 for Switch, PS5, and PC, Aloy’s Lego-fied adventure is up for grabs for only $40 (was $60). Amazon currently has the Nintendo Switch and PS5 versions in stock, but it’s worth noting Amazon’s delivery window for the Switch edition stretches a couple days beyond Christmas. If you’re buying this as a gift, just make sure to double-check shipping estimates before placing your order. Walmart and Best Buy will deliver the Nintendo Switch version of Horizon Adventures before Christmas. Horizon fans should also check out Amazon’s deals on the new Horizon Forbidden West action figures:

Lego Horizon Adventures has performance and graphical fidelity modes to pick from on PS5. Regardless of which one you pick, Horizon Adventures will unsurprisingly look and run better on PS5 than Nintendo Switch. If you have both consoles, the PS5 version is the better choice–unless you want the portability of the Switch. Regardless of which you pick, though, this is the best-looking Lego game on either platform (and just in general).
It’s a fun, lighthearted take on Guerrilla’s Horizon franchise. No prior knowledge of the series is needed to enjoy it, as the story borrows from Zero Dawn and is self-contained. That said, the story is secondary to the action and exploration. It’s a fun, if familiar, adventure for fans of licensed Lego games, especially if you play couch co-op with another player. It has a fairly short runtime of roughly six to 10 hours, but if you’re looking for new game to play with your kids this holiday, this is a good way to introduce them to the franchise.

The Nintendo Switch version of Lego Horizon Adventures is well-optimized. It looks great on TV and in handheld mode at 30 frames per second. As mentioned above, it’s obviously not as visually impressive on Switch as it is on PS5, but it’s still a rather impressive experience, especially when compared to other Lego games on Switch.
The Switch version of Lego Horizon Adventures hasn’t received enough critic reviews to get a Metascore on GameSpot’s sister site Metacritic, but the PS5 version has a 70/100 average based on 100 reviews. It earned a 7/10 in GameSpot’s Lego Horizon Adventures review.
Preorder Horizon Adventures Lego Set
Lego Horizon Adventures will become an actual Lego set on March 1, 2025. Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth is a 768-piece Lego playset priced at only $45. Fans will build two fully jointed machines and a couple of small accessories. It comes with Aloy and Varl minifigures and weapon accessories.
This is the second Lego set based on the Horizon franchise. The first one was a 1,222-piece Tallneck display model for adults. The Lego Horizon Tallneck is discontinued, but you can still usually find it for close to retail price at Amazon.
PlayStation’s Official Horizon Action Figure Deals
PlayStation released an official line of highly posable action figures earlier this year, and right now you can get the Aloy Deluxe Edition Action Figure for its lowest price yet at Amazon. The limited-time deal drops the price of the figure to only $35 (was $50). The figure has 42 points of articulation and comes with 15 swappable accessories. You can pair Aloy with Varl for $24 (was $30). Varl isn’t a “Deluxe” figure, but he still has 32 points of articulation and comes with three accessories. PlayStation also released an official Aloy 10-inch plush for $20.
These figures are based on Aloy’s and Varl’s appearances in Horizon Forbidden West, which is still on sale for a great price as part of PlayStation’s Holiday Sale 2024. You can even save 50% on Forbidden West’s Collector’s Edition at PlayStation Direct.
