My wrists are dainty and small. I turn sideways, and they disappear.
Also: I finally found a leather watch band for my Apple Watch
Jokes about my small frame aside, it’s seriously difficult to find bracelets or wristwatches that fit my wrist snugly. When I got an Apple Watch earlier this year, I tightened the light blush sport band to its shortest setting, but it was still loose around my wrist.
As I walked or ran, the Apple Watch’s loose-fitting band bounced up and down my arm, and after a while, I got annoyed with its insecure nature and stopped wearing it. So, during this past Cyber Week, I did some research on Apple Watch bands for small wrists. I consulted the internet’s greatest friend — Reddit forums — and sifted through affordable options on Amazon.
After many discontinued product searches, I finally found an Apple Watch band that fits my wrist. In fact, I’m wearing my Apple Watch as I write this.
Reddit recommended the Lerobo Apple Watch band to me. There are 25 colorways to choose from and sizing ranges from the Series 10 S/M, Series 10 M/L, Series 3 S/M, and Series 3 M/L. For what it’s worth, I purchased the S/M that’s made for the Series 10 for my Apple Watch Series 9, and it fits just fine.
The watch band has plenty of holes that make it more breathable – and easier to tighten to your desired size. I like the maroon and pink color a lot, and don’t have any problems with this band so far. You get a lot more out of your Apple Watch when it actually fits your wrist, a fact I’m sure anyone with larger wrists already knows. The tightness of the band means that it can hug my wrist as I run and walk, making the bulky nature of the smartwatch feel a little less hefty.
ZDNET’s buying advice
If you’re shopping for a small-wristed friend this holiday season, I’d recommend choosing one of these Lerobo watch bands for them. It’s one of those $10 purchases that goes a long way and further encourages me to exercise and wear my Apple Watch more.
