If you have any of the above products in your refrigerator or freezer with the matching recall information, throw it away or return it to your place of purchase for a refund. After removing the recalled products from your home, be sure to thoroughly clean any surfaces that the food may have been in contact with, as Salmonella bacteria can quickly spread.
Salmonella infection, or salmonellosis, can be a serious illness for those who are pregnant, immunocompromised, aged 65 or older and for young children. Common symptoms include stomach cramps, diarrhea, headaches, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite. These symptoms can last from six hours to six days after infection.
Alongside these recalls, Kroger is also recalling ready-to-eat sushi containing cucumber sold at select Texas locations. While it’s likely these products were already consumed or disposed of, if you are experiencing any illness after eating Kroger sushi or any of the above recalled products, contact your health care provider.
For questions about the Salmonella outbreak linked to cucumbers, contact SunFed’s recall hotline at (888) 542-5849, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MST.
