There seems to be no slowing down of the Stanley Cup craze. Have you seen the new holiday varieties introduced this year? The colors and patterns are adorable and perfect for the winter season.
Despite this, even the biggest fans of the water bottles have one complaint: Not all the tumblers are entirely leakproof. When filled with liquid, they need to be carried upright, otherwise throwing them in your gym bag or backpack can lead to a huge mess.
As a “consumer-obsessed brand,” Stanley wants you to know it hears you. That’s why it’s releasing a brand-new take on its beloved Quencher H2.0 FlowState Tumbler that features a redesigned lid that reportedly makes leaks a thing of the past.
Stanley’s New Quencher ProTour Flip Straw Tumbler
The Quencher ProTour features a newly designed leakproof lid with a flip-up straw that snaps shut when it’s not being used, making it an ideal bottle for on-the-go hydration. The new Quenchers will be available in 40-ounce, 30-ounce, 20-ounce, and 14-ounce sizes. They drop on Dec. 3 and you can be sure there will be plenty of influencers on TikTok testing them.
For soccer lovers, the Quencher ProTour is also included in the highly anticipated Leo Messi x Stanley 1913 collaboration in Messi GOAT Pink.
Stanley may have solved its tumblers’ biggest problem, but we see one problem with the new lids: There’s no option to buy the lid as a stand-alone accessory to fit on a tumbler you already own. The lid is only available attached to a new tumbler.
As one person noted on Stanley’s website, “Dumb not to sell this as a stand-alone accessory, and only limit it to being sold with new cups, especially with how many people already own the original version.” Based on the fervor with which fans buy new products, we agree it would be good to sell the lid alone.
That said, Stanley knows its biggest followers will snatch up this new tumbler, even if their kitchen cabinets are already stuffed with other Stanley cups. Perhaps after the Quencher ProTour Tumblers have been on the market for a while, Stanley will offer an option to purchase just the lids. Of course, we’ll let you know if they do.
