Halloween may be the king of candy holidays, but the treat innovation certainly doesn’t stop there. This holiday season has already introduced us to festive Reese’s cups, Christmas-themed Kit Kats, and even monster-inspired sour treats.
Now, one of the world’s most beloved chocolate brands is adding a touch of elegance to the holiday candy scene, transforming milk chocolate from a forgotten treat at the bottom of your trick-or-treat bag to the shining centerpiece of your holiday table. Toberlone just announced a brand new kind of chocolate treat it calls the “crown jewel of the holiday season.”
New Toblerone Truffles Coming to Costco
Toblerone, known for its Swiss heritage and iconic combination of milk chocolate, nougat, almonds, and honey, is shaking things up with a twist on its 100-year-old recipe. This holiday season, the brand is debuting Toblerone Truffles, a first-of-its-kind treat in the U.S.
The innovative addition, launched by Mondelēz International, first made its debut in the U.K. in July 2023 but is now ready to captivate American chocolate connoisseurs. U.K. customers love that the treat preserves the beloved taste of Toblerone, but elevates it with a sophisticated twist.
True to Toblerone’s “never square” fashion, each truffle is shaped like a diamond, reminiscent of little chocolate gems. The shell is made of the classic Toblerone milk chocolate, while the inside features a smooth, velvety chocolate center studded with crunchy bits of honey and almond nougat. Packaged in an elegant gold box, each truffle is individually wrapped in shiny gold foil. These treats will add a touch of sparkle to any holiday spread.
“The holiday season is a wonderful time to bring the gift of Toblerone Truffles to U.S. consumers,” said Candyce Jefferson, Senior Brand Manager of U.S. Chocolate for Mondelēz International. “With Toblerone’s signature flavor blended as a truffle in the iconic shape of a diamond, Toblerone Truffles will elevate any holiday occasion.”
Starting the week of Nov. 25, these luxurious truffles will be available exclusively at Costco online and in stores nationwide. Each box will contain 50 single-serving truffles and be priced at $11.99.
So, whether you want a shiny, signature candy to put out for the holidays, or are adding to your personal stash of sweet holiday indulgences, this is one chocolate treat that will soon have us beelining to Costco.
