What’s on Streaming This Week? Watch ‘Bad Sisters,’ ‘Cobra Kai’ and More

After a three-month delay, the big fight is back on, as Jake Paul is set to face the legendary Mike Tyson in the ring in front of a live global audience on Netflix. Paul, 27, made his name as a social media influencer before turning to MMA and then traditional boxing, while Tyson, now 58, is one of the most decorated boxers of all time. It’s sure to be a battle of the ages, if not for the ages. The co-headline fight is a rematch between undisputed super lightweight champ Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano. The fight card streams live on Netflix starting at 8 p.m. Eastern.

As Netflix’s hit series nears its conclusion — the sixth and final season is airing in three parts — the kids from Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai head to Barcelona for the Sekai Taikai international karate tournament. The World Cup-style competition is sure to test the mettle of the younger competitors. Season 6, part 2, premieres Nov. 15 on Netflix, while the closing final five episodes will air in February 2025.

Set 10,000 years before the events of Dune (and Denis Villeneuve’s massively successful recent films), this adaptation of Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson’s Sisterhood of Dune traces the origins of the Bene Gesserit, the superhuman sect of women charged with aiding the course of human evolution. Emily Watson and Olivia Williams star as Valya and Tula Harkonnen. Alison Schapker (whose pedigree includes Alias, Lost, Fringe, and Westworld) serves as showrunner and writer. The first of the show’s six episodes arrives on Max on Nov. 17.

Nothing about Bad Sisters’ first season suggested that it was, in fact, a first season. The truth behind the season’s murder was revealed, the loose ends were tied up, and the story seemed to have been told. (The series’ source material, the Belgian series Clan, was also a one-and-done story.) While it’s tempting to see the show’s return as unnecessary, the show’s creator and star Sharon Horgan is usually worth trusting — and bringing in Fiona Shaw to stir the pot can only be a good thing. The first two episodes stream starting Nov. 13, with a new episode airing weekly through Dec. 25.

Based on Hugh Howey’s dystopian sci-fi novel series, Silo season 1 premiered in May of 2023. Rebecca Ferguson and the rest of Silo’s stacked cast — including Rashida Jones, Tim Robbins, David Oyelowo, Chinaza Uche and Common — return in the wake of last year’s stunning cliffhanger. The second-season premiere comes to Apple TV Plus on Nov. 15, with the remaining nine episodes airing weekly.

Aldis Hodge stars in Cross, the new crime series on Prime Video based upon the characters from James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross book series. Set in Washington, D.C. Cross follows Alex Cross, a homicide detective, whose personal demons threaten to derail his career. All eight episodes of the series will arrive on Nov. 14, and a second season has already been ordered.

Deadpool & Wolverine, the year’s second-highest grossing film at the box office (curse you, Inside Out 2!) is finally available to stream this week on Disney Plus. The film that lured Hugh Jackman out of Wolverine retirement co-stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, along with Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin and Rob Delaney, and it arrives on the platform on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 novel has seen several film adaptations (Fred Zinneman’s 1973 film being the most faithful to the source material), but Peacock is betting that viewers will be drawn in for their new interpretation. In the 10-episode series, the target of a mysterious assassin known as the Jackal (Eddie Redmayne) has been updated; while it was once Charles de Gaulle in the original text, now it’s a tech whiz who promises to blow the lid on billionaires’ spending habits — much to the displeasure of said billionaires. Redmayne and Lashana Lynch co-star in this tense cat-and-mouse thriller. New episodes stream weekly on Peacock starting Nov. 14.

Nearly 30 years after the original’s blockbuster success, the Twister franchise gets its second installment – although without Helen Hunt or any of the original cast members. This time around, Glen Powell brings his leading man energy to the role of YouTube storm chaser Tyler Owens, while Daisy Edgar-Jones’ Kate Carter has to conquer her personal tornado trauma to aid a team of scientists hoping to predict the monster funnel clouds. Director Lee Isaac Chung had previously made the breakout indie drama Minari but proves equally adept with big-budget action set pieces. Twisters will stream exclusively on Peacock beginning Nov. 14.

Country music star Luke Bryan sits down with some of the genre’s biggest names to talk shop, swap stories, and play some music in the new Hulu series It’s All Country. Bryan, a producer on the series (alongside NFL star Peyton Manning), gets the stories behind the songs and gets to the bottom of the craft the way only a fellow artist can. Wynonna Judd, Sheryl Crow, Lady A and Shaboozey are just a few of the announced guests, while the season opener features Luke Combs. All six episodes will be available to stream on Hulu on Nov. 15.

Taylor Sheridan fans who were worried that he hadn’t launched a new series this year can rest easy: Landman is here. In the new Paramount Plus series, the Yellowstone creator turns his attention to the world of modern-day oil rigs-booms and busts, roughnecks and wildcat entrepreneurs, disasters and high drama. Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Demi Moore, and Jon Hamm star in the series based on the Boomtown podcast. The first two episodes drop on Paramount Plus on Nov. 17.
