Popcorn is a classic snack, whether as an accompaniment to movie night or as a late night treat. But what happens when you combine buttery, delicious popped corn with the flavors of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups? According to Costco shoppers, a snack whose creator “really deserves a raise.”
Reese’s Popcorn Is Now at Costco
Reddit is popping off about Reese’s Popcorn, popcorn topped with a chocolatey drizzle and peanut butter creme. Priced at around $8 for a 17-ounce bag, shoppers of the warehouse store are calling the chocolatey, peanut buttery popcorn treat “highly addictive” and “dangerously good.”
“Got it when I was pregnant and straight-up Hoovered it,” wrote one Redditor. “It’s a great mix of salty and sweet, and the peanut butter drizzle is crazy good.”
Some Costco shoppers even reported having trouble finding the popcorn treat at their local Costco warehouses, posting news of finding bags on clearance already and speculating the treat is only seasonal and may not be available for long.
“These are so good,” wrote one Costco member on Reddit. “I wish I had bought more when I saw them a few months back. I hope my Costco gets more soon.”
Others know their limitations and say it looks too good to bring home with them from their next Costco run. “I don’t need something new to feed my addiction issues with Reese’s,” wrote one.
Some have even been inspired by the bagged snack to recreate their own peanut butter and chocolate-popcorn combinations at home. “Grab a bag of [Reese’s Minis] and throw them in your movie theater popcorn bucket,” advised one Reddit user. “A little chocolate and peanut butter with the butter and salt is delicious.”
Reese’s is no stranger to fulfilling fans’ wildest snacking dreams. Earlier this month, the brand announced a massive Deconstructed Peanut Butter Cup with a 10-ounce jar of Reese’s peanut butter cup filling and a nine-ounce milk chocolate shell to allow for the ultimate PB cup customization. And at Costco, shoppers have been graced with the likes of Reese’s Chocolate and Peanut Butter Covered Bananas and Reese’s Filled Pretzels in the past. Which has us wondering—is there any snack that can’t be improved with some chocolate-peanut butter love?
