Shake Shack Just Brought Back the Holiday Treat Fans Wait All Year For

It’s just barely November, but the holiday menus are already rolling in. From new seasonal drinks at Dunkin’ to an entire new menu at Cracker Barrel, fast food chains are pulling out all the stops to make this holiday season the most merry, bright, and delicious yet. Even Five Guys, a chain that rarely launches new menu items, announced its first-ever holiday dessert, a Candy Cane Crunch Milkshake.

If the mention of a milkshake got you craving even more sweet treats to help kick off the start of the unofficial holiday season, we’ve got good news. Shake Shack just announced a returning holiday treat to pair with its beloved burgers (the winner of our fast-food burger taste test, by the way). That dessert is an extra-delicious milkshake made with one of this season’s favorite flavors: sugar cookies.

Shake Shack’s Christmas Cookie Shake Is Back

The fan-favorite Christmas Cookie Shake is returning early this year, and we could not be more excited. Last year, Shake Shack waited until mid-December to bring it back, but much to our delight, the Christmas Cookie Shack has officially returned to menus as of Nov. 1.

The Christmas Cookie Shake features sugar cookie frozen custard topped with whipped cream, crumbled shortbread, and holiday sprinkles. On an Instagram post teasing its return, fans of the cookie-inspired treat were quick to express their excitement.

“DROP THE HOLIDAY SHAKES. I’m so impatient waiting for their arrival” one Instagram user commented. Another chimed in, “OMG I have been WAITING YESSSSS.“

On a post on the Instagram account @Snackolator, others shared the sentiment in the comments.

“Yessssssss!! The Sugar Cookie shake is my all-time favorite,“ commented one Instagram user. Another Instagrammer added, “Christmas cookie is sooo good!! Their holiday shakes are great!“

And the Christmas Cookie Shake isn’t the only holiday treat at Shake Shack this year. Shake Shack’s holiday shake menu also features a new Chocolate Yule Log Shake and returning favorite Apple Cider Donut Shake.

The Chocolate Yule Log Shake has chocolate frozen custard hand-spun with pieces of chocolate cake and is topped with whipped cream, cake crumbles, and festive sprinkles. The Apple Cider Donut Shake has apple cider donut frozen custard topped with whipped cream and cinnamon donut crunch.

All three shakes are inspired by the best desserts the holiday season has to offer and are available at Shake Shack for a limited time at all U.S. locations except for stadiums and airports.
