Coffee Mate Just Launched a First-of-Its-Kind Creamer That Isn’t for Your Coffee

Estimated read time 2 min read

We’re officially in the heart of coffee season—the time of year when cozying up with a warm, creamy mug becomes an all-day craving. True to form, Coffee mate has us covered with holiday flavors hitting shelves, cold foam creamers debuting, and a brand-new Xtra flavor line on the way.

But, coffee isn’t just for daytime anymore. Thanks to the rise of espresso martinis, coffee has become a popular nighttime indulgence, and Coffee mate is leaning into the trend. Its latest innovation isn’t made for your morning brew, it’s actually made for your bar cart. That’s right, espresso martinis haven’t just taken over cocktail menus, they’ve also made it to grocery aisles.

Coffee Mate’s New Cocktail Mate Espresso Martini Mixers

Introducing Cocktail mate: Coffee mate’s first-ever nonalcoholic espresso martini mixer. For the first time, a Coffee mate creamer comes with coffee—and caffeine—already included, offering a quick and easy way to make a rich coffee cocktail without any brewing required.

This mixer isn’t spiked, but it’s perfect for creating a bar-quality drink by simply adding ice and your choice of spirit, whether vodka, tequila, or whiskey. Or, for a nonalcoholic treat, you can enjoy it as is: sweet, creamy, and decadent.

The Cocktail mate collection is debuting in two flavors: Espresso Martini and Crème Espresso Martini. The original flavor is dairy-free, while the Crème option includes milk. Both prepared drinks use coffee granules to create the taste of a freshly brewed espresso

Fans are already getting excited to try the creamy new cocktail mixers, saying, “Smart!” and, “That looks yummy.” One suggested a garnish of coffee beans for that authentic cocktail bar touch, while another officially declared, “ITS TIME TO PARTY.”

Where to Find New Cocktail Mate Mixers

Because the new Cocktail mate line is a bit more experimental for the brand, it’s first being tested in a few select markets including Cub Foods and BevMo, where it’s available now for $5.99. However, the brand says it hopes to expand availability in the future, so you may find it at more major retailers soon.

With the ongoing trend for coffee cocktails showing no signs of slowing down, there’s a good chance Cocktail mate will go national—maybe in time to raise a glass (or mug) for the holiday season.
