Where to watch

  • The 2024 World Series will be shown on Fox.

The best two teams in baseball this year will meet in the World Series. The New York Yankees won the AL East with a 94-68 record, which was the best mark in the American League. The Los Angeles Dodgers were tops in the National League with 98 wins and captured the NL West crown.

The 2024 World Series marks the 12th time that these two storied franchises have met in October, but it’s the first instance in over 40 years. Led by Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, the Dodgers have one of the best offenses in baseball. The Yankees also feature a formidable lineup with its own trio of sluggers of Juan Soto, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton in the middle of it.

The World Series starts on Friday in Los Angeles. The Yankees will send Gerrit Cole to the mound for Game 1. The Dodgers have yet to name a starting pitcher for the opening game. First pitch is scheduled for Friday at 8:08 p.m. ET (5:08 p.m. PT) on Fox. Here’s what you need to know to watch without cable.
