Looking to bring some retro games to your home but don’t have the space for a full-size arcade cabinet? Then take a look at the upcoming Arcade1Up Ms. Pac-Man & Galaga Countercade, which is the ideal size for a table or bartop and costs just $150. That’s cheaper than Arcade1Up’s older Pac-Man Countercade–which has since sold out and was priced at $200. Preorders are now open for the Ms. Pac-Man & Galaga Countercade, with the item launching on October 21. You’ll also find a bunch of other Arcade1Up cabinets on sale for Prime Big Deal Days, so be sure to check out all the discounts if you want a companion for this affordable countercade.
$150
The Arcade1Up Pac-Man & Galaga Countercade features a 7-inch LCD screen, full-size arcade controls, and a cool design that’s wrapped in retro Pac-Man and Galaga graphics. The tabletop console is loaded with three games (Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, DigDug) and is officially licensed so you know you’re getting a reliable product. Depending on your setup, the device can be powered via AA batteries or a built-in micro-USB.
Considering the old Arcade1Up Pac-Man Countercade cost $200 and only offered two extra games, this preorder is pretty enticing. The company’s releases are usually hot commodities, however, so be sure to reserve a unit while you still can. Most existing countercades are now only available through resellers, with prices climbing as high as $230.
The Arcade1Up Class of 81 Deluxe Arcade Machine launched last year and boasts a similar design, though it’s a full-sized cabinet. It offers a few more games–but is now listed for $479. That makes this upcoming countercade a nice alternative if you want something deluxe that won’t break the bank. For something unique, you can preorder a Full-Size Claw Machine, slated to arrive on November 5.
There are also some excellent price cuts for Prime Big Deal Days, giving you a chance to add popular Arcade1Up cabinets to your game room for cheap. The William Bally Attack From Mars Pinball Machine is a notable highlight, as the limited-time deal brings the table to just $499 (was $750). Fighting game fans, meanwhile, can nab the Capcom Street Fighter II Champion Turbo Legacy Edition for $399 (was $500). Both are loaded with games and are now listed for some of their best prices of the year.
Here’s a look at a few other Prime Big Deal Days savings to check out.
